Short description of the organization and its work to control and eliminate NTDs

BIO Ventures for Global Health was founded in 2004 with a start-up grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the support of the Biotechnology Industry Association (BIO) and the Rockefeller Foundation.

BVGH is a non-profit organization whose mission is to save lives by accelerating the development of novel drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics coming from the biotechnology industry that address the unmet medical needs of the developing world. We work at the crossroads of biotechnology and global health to find the common ground between the goals of the global health community and the pragmatic needs of companies.

We are committed to helping biopharmaceutical companies find ways to participate in global health. Our Board members, Corporate Leadership Council, and staff members are passionate about saving lives, and changing the futures of those living in the developing world.
