Louisa Tribe

Director of Communications & Partnerships

Louisa is a multi-award-winning communications and advocacy specialist with over 16 years’ experience campaigning on global health, poverty reduction, and climate change.

Louisa joined Uniting to Combat NTDs as Director of Communications in April 2021. Prior to that she headed up communications at Trust for London, a foundation which tackles poverty and inequality. She spent seven years at the Wellcome Trust where she led communications for issues including epidemics, antimicrobial resistance, and research ecosystems in Africa and Asia. This included a secondment to the Africa Health Research Institution in South Africa, and to behaviour change agency Kin&Co. Before this, Louisa was an Associate Director at a PR agency specialising in climate change and sustainable development. She has also held roles in publishing, marketing, and events.

Louisa holds a MSc in Global Health Policy from the University of Edinburgh where her thesis focused on what factors drive political prioritisation of neglected health issues, a bachelor’s degree in History and French from the University of Sheffield, an Executive Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Chartered Management Institute, and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She is a Trustee for Leap India Foundation which works to change lives through education in India.
