On 28 January 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the new road map for neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). The road map, called Ending the neglect to attain the Sustainable Development Goals: a road map for neglected tropical diseases 2021–2030 includes ambitious targets to tackle 20 NTDs, which collectively affect more than 1.7 billion people throughout the world.
