Jessica Robbins
Project Assistant
Jessica is a Project Assistant at Uniting to Combat NTDs. In this role she supports the team across a range of administrative and coordination tasks, providing essential support to the wider team and facilitating seamless communication among team members, stakeholders, and external partners – ensuring that project objectives are affectively communicated and met.
Before joining Uniting, Jessica was with the Vermont Department of Health tobacco program where she led the community grants coalition and supported on health equity initiatives. She also has experience in rabies research and control, contributed to intervention research on public health communication and misinformation during COVID-19 for the African Health Observatory Platform (AHOP), and most recently coordinated advocacy efforts through the Leishmaniasis Advocacy Network (LAN) – which she founded upon a personal lived experience of cutaneous leishmaniasis.
She holds an MSc in Health and International Development from the London School of Economics and is passionate about amplifying the voices of communities affected by neglected tropical diseases. She believes in the power of storytelling to challenge stigma, shift narratives and drive action in global health.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her rescue dog Fifi, and is currently working towards her coastal skipper sailing qualification
