100% committed to ending NTDs
We are a global advocacy organisation that exists to end neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) by mobilising resources in support of the World Health Organization's NTD road map and the Sustainable Development Goals. We envision a world where no-one suffers from these preventable and treatable diseases.
We work with over 150 partners around the world to create the political will and an enabling environment for change to collectively address the NTD crisis. Together, we champion investment for NTDs.
Uniting to Combat NTDs was established following the signing of the London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) in 2012, when a diverse group of stakeholders came together with one objective: beating NTDs. Today, this partnership has grown but continues to consist of academic and research organisations, governments, non-governmental organisations, pharmaceutical companies and philanthropic foundations.
Who we are
The Secretariat develops and implements the board-approved strategy. It delivers ambitious advocacy initiatives and represents the partnership externally, whilst providing administrative and coordination support to partnership groups.
The Consultative Forum provides guidance on strategy and tactics to the Board, the Secretariat and working groups. This group brings the perspectives of the broader NTD Partner Network to the Board and other partnership bodies.
The Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases partnership is a wide range of partner network representing the broad set of stakeholders working to achieve the WHO NTD and SDG 3 targets.
The Board brings together senior leaders who are responsible for strategy and governance decisions that drive progress against our shared mission to end the epidemic of neglected tropical diseases.
