CBM - Christian Blind Mission
With over one hundred years of experience, CBM strives to remove the barriers that marginalise people with disabilities in the most disadvantaged societies in the world. We do this by working with local partner organisations, influencing policy, and responding to emergencies and natural disasters.
To deliver our goals, we focus on three key areas we call Initiatives – Community Based Inclusive Development, Inclusive Eye Health, and Inclusive Humanitarian Action. As part of the Inclusive Eye Health Initiative, CBM has implemented successful neglected tropical disease (NTD) programmes for over 30 years including interventions for five diseases easily treated with preventative chemotherapy.
CBM also provides comprehensive care for people already affected to reduce their suffering and enable full participation in family and community life.
