Talia is an award-winning communications specialist and news editor with over a decade of experience delivering successful integrated campaigns and telling stories on a national and international scale.
Talia joined Uniting to Combat NTDs in October 2021 and supported delivery of the communications plan to launch the landmark Kigali Declaration on neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) at the Kigali Summit on Malaria and NTDs, which secured the largest ever financial commitment for NTDs to date. Prior to that Talia headed up digital communications for two government authorities working on areas from business to sustainability. Talia delivered the housing strategy for Opening Doors’, Signing up private landlords to house people in emergency accommodation, saving over £250,000 in council costs within five months as well as telling the story of local rewilding projects and securing positive coverage on BBC, Sky, LBC, Heart, and Classic FM.
Before this Talia worked as a news editor for Global, the UK and Europe's largest Radio & Outdoor company. Global is home to the UK's largest radio stations. Talia set the news agenda for five different radio outputs, commissioned exclusive content and reported live breaking news on LBC from the field, as well as reading bulletins. Talia has also held roles in event management, sales and presenting where she has interviewed the likes of Ed Sheeran and Prime Minister David Cameron.
