2025 has been a year of decisive action and remarkable progress in the fight against neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) - progress achieved in spite of rising global conflict, economic uncertainty, and reductions in global health financing, including for NTDs. Yet even in this challenging landscape, the global NTD community has delivered extraordinary results: 58 countries have now eliminated at least one NTD, including 24 across the African continent.
